ABOUT US!

So I thought I would try and give this blogging thing a try.  Not that I know a whole lot about it, but I figured, what the heck? How bad could it be? Any help would be much appreciated ;)

I’m going to use this more of like a journal.  But that’s open to the world. If people read it, great! If not, I don’t mind J  I want to keep track of Devin and I’s new journey that we’ve started together and I think this would be one of the most fun ways to do so.  I love typing, why not put it to use?

I figured the most appropriate thing to write about first, would be about Devin and I.  I mean, that's the name of the blog right? The Fabricius'.  Devin and I met on March 10, 2013.  Depending on which one of us you ask, our stories on how we met are a little different.  I say Facebook, he says a mutual friend.  Actual truth? A little bit of both.  I had commented on one of my friends pictures of her and her boyfriend. Devin saw my comment and asked this friend (Annie Maughan) how well she knew me.  She said very well and she then texted me asking me if she could give this friend of hers my number.  Naturally I asked her what this friends name was.  She replied: Devin Fabricius.  How in the heck do you say that last name?! What do I do next? I Facebook stalk him of course.  Super cute.  Heck yes he can have my number! Annie told me that she had given him my number. I waited ALL day for him to text me! No text came..bummer! Later that night as I was moving a car (the one time that I didn’t have my phone attached to my hip) Devin calls. My mother answered.. weird? He kinda thought so.  Talking to him on the phone, I was already so impressed! This kid just CALLED me. CALLED! No way that happens anymore. He was so polite and invited me to go to the singles ward with him that following day.  Of course I said yes! How could I not?

Devin picked me up at 10:35 sharp! Not a minute late.  I was so nervous I was shaking in the recliner! I remember opening the door and just instantly fell inlove. (you’ll think I’m crazy, but I told my mom when we got home from church that I was going to marry that boy!) I just loved his eyes.  && that smile he gave me? HOLY COW!! He opened every door we entered, he helped me in his truck, and he was so polite!! We went to church and it was SO hard to focus! All I wanted to do was talk! I wanted to know everything I could about this handsome man.  Church came to an end and I was so hoping that he didn’t want to stay for the linger-longer. It was a whole meal! (I mean.. no offense single people, but that’s a little over the top.. don’t ya think?) He didn’t want to stay either.  In fact, he was thinking the same thing.  WHEW! We talked the whole way home.  I was so sad when he dropped me off.  All I wanted to do was sit and talk and talk and talk! Good thing we made plans to hang out later that week.  But we’ll save that story for later.  I’ll have to write about those in sections.  As for now, bedtime is calling my name!
