This weekend was such a blast! (06/06/14-06/08/14) Devin spent Thursday and Friday at the
Missionary Training Camp that the Wellsville and Mendon Stake do every
year. He did it last year and has loved
it both years!! He loves helping all of these kids understand the reason that
they are serving the Lord for 2 years.
Besides, he’s so great with them, and they love him. How could he not have fun? After his training camp on Friday, he picked
me up from home and we went to Moto Vu. (The outside movie theater in
Ogden) We stopped by Carl’s Jr. I LOVE their Teriyaki burger. Oh my heck, it
is SO good. We took our food to the drive
in and ate it there. Dev found a new
game to play on our phones while we were waiting for it to get dark. It’s called Farm Heroes Saga. It’s VERY similar to Candy Crush. Only it’s with vegetables and they have cute
smiling faces on them too. It’s rather
addicting and Devin even likes it! He doesn’t get into those kinds of games
very much, but he really enjoys this one!
Edge of Tomorrow is such a great movie. I would definitely go and see it again. I won’t tell you anything about it cause I think
you should go and see it. However,
Godzilla. BORING! I watched the first
half hour of it and then I fell asleep.
I slept for a good hour of it but then I got so freaking cold that I just
kinda laid there snuggled up to Devin to try and keep warm. Didn’t really interest me or Devin. But since Devin is such a sweetheart, he
waited until the movie was over to leave because he didn’t want to be rude to
the other viewers. Me? I would have left
during it. It was that bad. We got home at about 2:40 AM. After brushing our teeth and getting ready
for bed, it was a little after 3 that we both finally fell asleep. Saturday was such a drag! We didn’t get out of
bed until 9.. Our get up and go..got up and left. We cleaned the house a little
bit.. ate a little bit..did this and that but before I knew it was 1! Where did
my day go?? Grandpa Don had asked us if
we could go put some of the sandbags in the pasture to kind of stop the water
from overflowing..while on our way down there Devin found a calf! Bad thing
about it? It’s black. With a white face.
What??? All our cows are red angus.
Not black. (one of the bulls from
the guy who owns the other part of Dry Lake, got onto our side while they were
in heat and well…you know.) Its kind of a funny looking calf. But cute nonetheless
Church was good. I
was still so tired from Friday night that my feet drug all day long. I’m the music leader for primary. We are learning I Love to See the Temple in
American Sign Language. It’s really cool
that these kids have the opportunity to learn that! Lunch was great. Chicken roll ups. Oh they are soo good! I completely understand
why they are one of Devins favorite meals.
They’re DELICIOUS! We made Dutch
Oven Potatoes for my family and they were fabulous. As always.
Over all we had a really fun weekend! Can’t wait for next weekend!!
